18th Cycle of the Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards
Welcome to the 18th cycle of the Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards. An independent platform that was launched from the UAE in 2008. The Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards recognises and honours organisations in the Arab Region that demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. Hailed regionally and globally as the sustainability benchmark of the Arab Region, the award has grown and expanded its ambit considerably. Through 16 cycles, the Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards has received more than 1,707 registered applications from more than 1,427 organisations representing 44 industry sectors under 16 Categories, from 14 Arab countries in 3 different languages (Arabic, English & French). In 2024, the Awards introduced 1 new category for the educational sector.
Since its inception, the Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards’ credibility has earned it the trust and recognition of global and regional bodies such as the United Nations Global Compact, the United Nations Environment Programme and the League of Arab States. This support has ensured that the Awards are well rooted in the region and that it is in sync with the local context and the changes that are undergoing all over the region. This is reflected in the continued and steadily growing interest of organisations from different sectors and sizes to participate from all over the Arab world each year.
The criteria for the awards have been derived from global and regional frameworks and standards, namely, the UN Global Compact 10 Principles, the GRI Standards, the European EFQM Business Excellence Model, the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and more recently the financial requirements of alliance of the Global Investors for Sustainable Development.

Small-Sized Enterprises Category
Private organisations with less than 99 employees will be considered for this category.
Medium-Sized Enterprises Category
Private organisations between 100 and 499 employees will be considered for this category.
Large-Sized Enterprises Category
Private organisations with more than 500 employees will be considered for this category.
Awards Objectives
- To bring the latest international CSR and sustainability developments, trends and standards to the Arab world.
- To raise awareness and spread the culture of CSR and sustainability.
- To promote CSR as an essential element of a successful business model in the Arab Region.
- To recognise and honour organisations in the Arab Region that demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
- To commend international organisations that are actively pursuing Corporate Sustainability in the Arab Region.
- To create a database of CSR best practice case studies from around the Region.
